Learn German by Myself | EP.3 Practice How to Use 'Perfekt' and How Learning German Helps Me Shape My Mind [ENG-TH]

Dear Diary,

On Sunday, we had a German class with Eva and P'Joy. I kind of know that today's lesson must be difficult so I tried my best to practice and did some homework in advance. I know it's not a real class at school because Eva is just being so kind spending her free time teaching us German, but I really think I can gain lots of knowledge from this class. That's why I've decided to give my all to do my best.

My way of learning German by myself is to use the benefit of technology for its best such as looking up for vocabulary, searching how to conjugate the verb from the website, and trying to read and form a sentence. I used to give my words to Dom, my boyfriend who is Swiss, that I would willingly and easily spend my time on this language at least for 10 years, which means by the age of 41, I must be able to speak German. Let's see if I'm gonna make it or not...

Anyhow, before getting to that point, let's focus on today's lesson first.

Around 4 pm. on Sunday evening, we were already together on screen. We started to talk about the picture that Eva sent us last week. It's a photo of an empty street in Zurich which used to be so crowded.

She asked us to say in German what we see so basically, we would start the sentence with " Ich sehe... " But because we don't know much vocabulary, so we ended up learning about vocabulary instead which I didn't mind at all.

For example:

Bleiben Sie zu Hause. Alle. Bitte. = Stay at home. Everyone. Please.
Ich sehe die Bus-Haltestelle. = I see the bus stop.
Ich sehe nur eine Frau. = I see only one lady.
die Brücke = the bridge
der Baum = the tree // die Bäume = the trees
das Auto = the car // die Autos = the cars
das Plakat = the pillar

And the list went on and on and on. Then we switched the lesson to another one which is Perfekt which she asked us to change the sentence from Present tense to Perfekt tense.

It was DIFFICULT I have to admit. But as long as you've got someone helping you and correcting you, then it doesn't seem so bad after all. Eva was super helpful.

To be honest, Learning German helps me open my mind more and more every day. It reminds me of the time I started learning English. The time when you were young, and you were not afraid of anything. Not afraid of being right or wrong. The time when everything was just fun. But now as we're all adults, we are afraid.. The older we get, the more we're likely to be consumed by our own pride and ego. Sometimes, it's difficult to accept mistakes and it's difficult as well to handle the fact that you're 'not correct'. For me, learning German has helped me improve my thought and mind a lot and for that, I am excited and craving to learn more every day.

I really cannot wait to see how my German will be like in the next 10 years. I hope this blog still exist by that time. It must be really fun to see the progress now and then. I'll do my best!

ถึง คุณไดอะรี่

วันนี้วันอาทิตย์ซึ่งเป็นอีกวันที่เราต้องเรียนภาษาเยอรมันกับคุณครู Eva และพี่จอย เรารู้ว่าวันนี้สิ่งที่เราเรียนวันนี้ต้องยากแน่ๆ เลยตั้งใจทำแบบฝึกหัดที่คุณครูให้ไว้เมื่ออาทิตย์ที่แล้วอย่างเต็มความสามารถ ผิดบ้างถูกบ้างก็ให้คุณครูที่บ้านช่วยแก้ให้

เราฝึกทบทวนด้วยการใช้เทคโนโลยีให้เป็นประโยชน์ ทั้งหาศัพท์ เปิดเว็บหาวิธีกระจาย verb ฝึกอ่าน ฝึกเขียน เราเชื่อว่าสักวันเราต้องพูดภาษานี้ให้ได้ เราลั่นวาจาไว้กับพี่ดอมว่าเราจะให้เวลากับภาษานี้ 10 ปี เพราะฉะนั้นหมายความว่าเราในวัย 41 ขวบจะต้องพูดภาษานี้ได้แล้ว สัญญากับตัวเองไว้เลย!

แต่ก่อนจะถึงจุดนั้น ขอพูดถึงบทเรียนวันนี้ก่อน

เวลา 16.00 น. เราเข้าไปรอในแอป คุณครู Eva กับพี่จอยตามมาไม่นานหลังจากนั้น เราเริ่มพูดคุยกันถึงรูปภาพที่คุณครูส่งมาให้เมื่ออาทิตย์ก่อนว่าในภาพมีอะไรบ้าง ภาพที่ส่งมาเป็นภาพขาวดำของเมืองซูริคที่ดูเงียบเชียบไร้ผู้คน ซึ่ง Eva บอกว่าจริงๆ แล้วถ้าในสถานการณ์ปกติถนนเส้นนี้จะมีผู้คนเดินกันแน่นขนัดเชียวล่ะ แต่เนื่องจากซูริคประกาศ Lock down ทำให้บ้านเมืองตอนนี้ก็เป็นเหมือนแบบในภาพ

เราเริ่มเรียนด้วยการที่คุณครูเริ่มถามว่าเราเห็นอะไรในภาพบ้าง สิ่งที่เราต้องตอบก็คือ Ich sehe... (I see...) แต่เนื่องจากว่าทางเราก็คือรู้ศัพท์น้อยมาก ประจวบกับประโยคภาษาเยอรมันต้องผัน article ตามคำนามด้วย (หรือตามเวิร์บ หรือใดๆ อันนี้ยังไม่มีความรู้ อย่าว่ากุ รู้แค่ว่าต้องเปลี่ยน) บทเรียนในวันนี้เลยเปลี่ยนเป็นการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์แทน เช่น ป้ายประกาศที่อยู่บนเสา ซึ่งเราสามารถเห็นได้บ่อยๆ ในยุโรป จะเป็นเสาที่เค้าใช้แปะประกาศต่างๆ

das plakat = the pillar (เสาสำหรับแปะป้ายประกาศ)

หลังจากนั้นก็มีคำศัพท์ถาโถมกันเข้ามาไม่หยุดหย่อนจนเราจดไม่ไหว คุณครู Eva เลยเสนอว่าจะรวบรวมคำศัพท์แล้วส่งเข้าเมล์ให้เราทีหลัง ถือว่า ณ จุดนั้นคุณครูคือช่วยชีวิตมากๆ ซุยต่อไม่ไหวจริงๆ คือเข้าใจคนที่บอกว่าพูดภาษาอังกฤษไม่ได้เพราะนึกศัพท์ไม่ออกเลย อยากพูดใจจะขาด แต่ไม่มีคำในหัวก็ไปต่อไม่ถูกจริงๆ

เราเปลี่ยนเรื่องเรียนมาที่เรื่องของ Perfekt บ้าง (ฟีลอารมณ์ Present Perfect ภาษาอังกฤษแหละ แต่เรามาเน้นเรียน Perfekt ก่อน Past เพราะคุณครูบอกว่าที่สวิสเซอร์แลนด์ใช้ Perfekt แทน Past เราและพี่จอยในฐานะสะใภ้สวิสเลยเรียนอันนี้กันไปเนียนๆ ฮี่ๆ)

ตัวอย่างประโยคที่คุณครู Eva เขียนมาให้ทีหลัง

หลักๆ ของแบบฝึกหัดนี้ก็คือให้เราเปลี่ยนจาก Present Tense เป็น Perfekt ซึ่งอิดอก.. ยากกกกมากกกก คือนอกจากจะต้องจำ verb ที่ผันเป็น Perfekt ได้แล้ว ยังต้องจำด้วยว่าใช้ v.sein (เหมือน v. to be ภาษาอังกฤษ) หรือ v.haben (เหมือน v. to have ภาษาอังกฤษ) ใช่ค่ะ verb แต่ละตัวใช้ไม่เหมือนกัน ไม่เหมือน Perfect ภาษาอังกฤษที่ใช้แค่ v. to have + V3 จบเลย

โชคดีที่คุณครูที่สอนเป็น Eva ซึ่งใจเย็นมากๆ แล้วก็ช่วยเราทุกอย่าง ทั้งสอนออกเสียง ช่วยแก้คำ ให้เราอ่านจนกว่าจะคล่อง หรือให้ออกเสียงซ้ำเวลาที่ยังไม่ถูกซะทีเดียว เวลามีครูสอนภาษาที่ดีเราว่ามันเป็นอีกหนึ่งปัจจัยที่ช่วยให้การเรียนของเราพัฒนาได้จริงๆ

จริงๆ แล้วตั้งแต่เริ่มเรียนภาษาเยอรมันมา เราว่ามันช่วยเปิดใจเราได้เยอะทีเดียว มันทำให้เรากลับไปคิดถึงตอนที่เรียนภาษาอังกฤษตอนเด็กๆ ว่าตอนนั้นเราไม่ได้คิดถึงว่าต้องพูดได้ ต้องฟังออกด้วยซ้ำ เราเรียนเพราะสนุก เราเรียนเพราะภาษาอังกฤษเหมือนเกม เราไม่กลัวที่จะทำผิด พูดผิด เขียนผิด ทุกอย่างคือความสนุกไปหมด แต่พอเราโตขึ้น ยิ่งโต อีโก้ก็ยิ่งใหญ่ อะไรขนาดนั้น.. ต้องพูดให้ถูก ต้องเขียนให้ได้ ต้องรู้ไปหมด ต้องเรียน ต้องรีบ ใครมาแก้ก็เสียเซลฟ์ กระตุกหน่อยก็เฟล มันยากนะที่จะยอมรับความผิดพลาดได้เมื่อเราเป็นผู้ใหญ่ขนาดนี้ ซึ่งสำหรับเราแล้วการเรียนภาษาเยอรมันช่วยให้เราพัฒนาจุดนี้ได้เยอะเลยจริงๆ ไม่ใช่แค่อยากพูดได้ แต่เราอยากมีใจที่กว้างกว่านี้ เปิดรับกว่านี้ ฝึกตัวเองให้ยอมรับความผิดพลาดให้ได้แล้วปรับปรุงมัน ไม่ใช่ว่ายิ่งโตยิ่งฉลาด ฉันคือผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ ฉันรู้ไปหมด ไม่..

เพราะสุดท้ายแล้ว เราอยากทำตัวเป็นฟองน้ำไปตลอดชีวิต ซึมซับทุกอย่าง เรียนรู้ทุกเรื่อง เราไม่อยากเป็นน้ำเต็มแก้วที่ปล่อยให้น้ำล้นออก ไม่รับอะไรใหม่ๆ เราไม่อยากเป็นแบบนั้น

ขอบคุณนะ คุณภาษาเยอรมัน เราจะตั้งใจกับคุณให้เต็มที่ที่สุด

อายุ 41 ขวบแล้วจะกลับมาวัด KPI นะว่าถึงไหน ระหว่างนี้ก็สู้ๆ ละกัน :)
